2026-27 Mini Mite Registration
2026-27 Mini Mite Registration
Recommended Age: 3-5
Take the next step in your child's hockey journey with Twig Amateur Hockey Association's Mini Mite (Learn to Hockey) program — an exciting introduction to hockey for young players who are comfortable on skates and ready to wear full hockey equipment.
Designed for children ages 3–5, Mini Mites focuses on developing fundamental hockey skills through fun games and engaging on-ice activities. Players will learn stickhandling, passing, shooting, puck control, and basic hockey concepts while continuing to build confidence, balance, and skating ability in a positive, encouraging environment.
Mini Mites is more than just a learn-to-hockey program—it's an introduction to the Twig hockey family. As official Twig Amateur Hockey Association members, Mini Mite families get a firsthand look at what youth hockey is all about. Parents have the opportunity to experience the association, meet other hockey families, and participate in the volunteer and fundraising activities that help make Twig hockey successful—all without paying registration fees. It's the perfect way for both players and parents to discover what makes the Twig community special.
As players gain skills and confidence, they'll be well prepared to advance into Twig's Mite 1 and Mite 2 programs.
Skates are every Sunday during the outdoor skating season in Twig—typically December through mid February.
