2026-27 Learn to Skate Registration
2026-27 Learn to Skate Registration
Recommended Age: 3-5
Introduce your child to the joy of skating with Twig Amateur Hockey Association's Learn to Skate program—a free, beginner-friendly experience designed to help young skaters build confidence, develop basic skating skills, and have fun on the ice.
This program is perfect for first-time skaters and families new to hockey. No prior skating experience is necessary—just bring a helmet, skates, and a willingness to learn! Parents are encouraged to join their children on the ice to help build confidence and create a fun, low-pressure learning environment.
Learn to Skate sessions are held Sundays at 2:00 PM throughout the outdoor skating season. If indoor ice opportunities become available during the fall, additional preseason skating sessions may also be offered.
As your child gains confidence on skates, they'll have the opportunity to transition into Twig's Mini Mite, Mite 1, or Mite 2, continuing their development and love for the game.
