Gear Details

Required Gear:

• Helmet with full face guard – Please tape your player’s name to the front so coaches can quickly learn names.
• Neck Guard or Neck Guard Shirt – Mandatory for all players.
• Shoulder Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Hockey Gloves
• Shin Guards
• Breezers (hockey pants)
• Skates
• Stick – A straight blade is an option if your child shoot hand isn't determined.
• Socks – Black and red striped; available locally at Play It Again Sports.
• Bag

Recommended Gear:

• Cup or Pelvic Protector
• Mouthguard

Cold Weather Gear:

• Thin winter cap or balaclava
• Thin gloves to wear inside hockey gloves
• Hand warmers

Notes:

TAHA will provide jerseys.

Gear can be found at any hockey gear retailer.  TAHA recommends looking at Play it Again Sports to find used gear.  At this age, it's common kids outgrow their gear before it's worn out.

It's very important to make sure your skater's gear fits properly, especially their skates.
