Mirage 6U introduces young girls to hockey in a fun, encouraging, and all-girls environment where they can build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and create friendships that last throughout their hockey journey.

Whether your player is stepping onto the ice for the first time or already has some skating experience, U6 focuses on age-appropriate skill development through engaging practices and small-area games. Players will continue improving their skating, puck control, passing, shooting, and teamwork while developing a lifelong love for the game.

Practices begin in September with approximately two indoor ice sessions each week through October and early November. Once the outdoor season begins, players can expect two outdoor practices each week, with occasional additional indoor ice sessions as available throughout the season.

During the season, U6 players participate in several fun game opportunities, including girls-only jamborees and pickup games with neighboring associations such as Cloquet, Grand Rapids, and Duluth (when available). These experiences give players the opportunity to apply their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the excitement of playing alongside other girls from across the region.
