Introduce your child to the joy of skating and the game of hockey with Twig Amateur Hockey Association’s Ice Mite / Learn to Skate program — a free, beginner-friendly program designed for young skaters.
This program is perfect for first-time skaters and families new to hockey. No prior skating experience is necessary — just bring a helmet, skates, and a willingness to have fun on the ice! Parents are encouraged to hit the ice with their children and help build confidence and coordination in a low-pressure environment.
Once your child is ready, they’ll have the opportunity to transition into Twig’s Mite divisions (Mite 1 and Mite 2) to continue developing their skills and love for the game.
